Clinical Massage Therapy for Lafayette, Colorado
Lafayette is a straight shot west on Arapahoe — roughly fifteen minutes to the studio. Clients come from Old Town, Indian Peaks, and the neighborhoods along Baseline.
The patterns that show up
Desk-related neck and shoulder tension. When the head sits forward of the shoulders for hours at a time, the muscles along the back of the neck and across the upper shoulders end up working almost continuously. The upper traps, levator scapulae, and suboccipital group are usually where people feel it, and tension there is often associated with headaches that seem to start at the base of the skull.
Jaw and TMJ tension. More common than most people expect, and frequently connected to the same neck and postural chain. Clicking, morning tightness, and temple-area headaches are the things people describe. Work here focuses on the jaw, temporalis, and suboccipital group, and is often used alongside care from a dentist or physician.
Hip and lower back tension. From sitting, from lifting, or from training volume. Usually part of a chain rather than an isolated spot, which is why the hips and mid-back often get attention even when the complaint is lower back.
Athletic recovery. Lafayette has a strong running and cycling community. The aim is to help you keep training consistently — addressing overuse patterns early rather than after they have interrupted a season.
What a session looks like
Intake, assessment, hands-on work aimed at the tissue that seems to be contributing, then a comparison of how you moved at the start versus the end. You get an explanation of what was found and something practical to do between visits.
No packages, no upsells. Transparent rates, and a sliding scale is available if cost is a barrier.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical or dental diagnosis or treatment. If something falls outside my scope, I will say so and refer you on.
